The Truflo Pumps’ Story
Truflo Pumps is a family owned and operated business which commenced its journey in 1990.
Originally known as ‘Bathurst Irrigation’, our business concentrated on the agriculture sector. However, as we grew and became more established in the Bathurst region, we were able to expand into industries such as abattoirs, pet food, municipal and quarries. During this time, we operated as a small dedicated group of family members who were passionate and motivated to provide unique pumping solutions to our growing number of customers.
In the Year 2000, the business direction changed. Cadia Mines had commenced developing their open cut mine and they were looking to partner with a local company that could provide solutions to their site pumping and water reticulation needs. At that time, we changed our business name to ‘Truflo Pumps’ and began our journey in the mining sector.
Mining companies soon realised that Truflo Pumps was different. We were passionate, dedicated and motivated to offer the mining industry solutions to their problems. We became an attractive target to world pump manufacturers. It didn’t take long before we were able to offer our mining clients world class pumping equipment for both underground and open cut dewatering needs. From Broken Hill to Newcastle, mining companies recognised the unique services provided by Truflo Pumps.
In view of catering to the growing business, Truflo Pumps needed to upgrade and expand the manufacturing plant several times. As the Truflo Pumps’ dewatering pumps grew in popularity, we needed to consistently grow our manufacturing capabilities to meet the market demand.
The pump products of Truflo Pumps offers high wearing capabilities, vacuum assist priming, run-dry mechanical seals and remarkably high efficiencies. Our pumps are not mass produced. Every pump is manufactured to the end user’s specification and requirements.
Now with over 70 personnel, Truflo Pumps has become a market leader in mine dewatering for both underground and open cut. However, the same family owned business motivation and dedication and passion exists. With offices strategically placed within Australia and internationally, Truflo Pumps will continue to be recognised as one of the market leaders in dewatering pumps and equipment for the mining industry.
